Magical Milestones with DockATot

Watching your baby grow and reach special milestones is a precious parenting moment. Those first little smiles, the milk drunk flutters, the squeals of laughter - it's just magical. From feeling your baby’s first kick while pregnant to baby's arrival earth side, each milestone is so special.

We have put together this little piece to note the key milestones associated with the first 12 months of a baby’s life and to also track little Marlow growing from newborn to 12 months in his DockATot Deluxe.

Firstly a little note about the DockATot and the best fit for your baby. You will notice the DockATot recreates a womblike space to snuggle Marlow. This gives the soothing feeling of being held and subdues the startle reflex babies often experience. A snug fit may not be your bedtime cup of tea as an adult, but it's worth remembering your baby has spent 9 months tight and secure in your womb. 1 to 2 Months Milestones

Congratulations on welcoming your little one earth-side. We hope you are enjoying all the deliciousness of the newborn bubble. Around one month old your baby will start responding to sounds, staring at faces and can see black and white patterns. From 2 months old they will make gurgling and cooing sounds, follow faces and objects and hold their head up for short periods of time.

3 to 4 Months Milestones

By three months old your little one will be holding their head steady and recognise your face. Around four months old they will be bearing weight on their legs, cooing when you talk to them and doing little mini push-ups! Babies will become aware of their hands and begin to reach for things. This is a great time to consider adding the DockATot Toy Set to your ensemble.

5 to 6 Months Milestones

Now we have definitely hit the stage of rolling! Your baby can also distinguish between bold colours and can keep themselves very entertained by playing with their hands and feet. By six months your little one will be turning towards sounds and voices, imitating you and blowing bubbles. Your baby is likely to be keen to try solids now!

7 to 8 Months Milestones

Are you prepared for your little one to be on the move? That time has come! Between 7-8 months old your baby will start to sit on their own, crawl, roll and shuffle around the house. 9 to 10 Months Milestones

11 to 12 Months Milestones

Can you believe your little baby is almost 1 year old now?! It's fun to think back on what you were doing this time last year…and ohh how your life has changed in the most magical way possible. As your baby approaches their 1st birthday you will notice them communicating in many ways and often trying to talk to you. They might even be taking their first unaccompanied steps!
