Right now, I am your home. My life changed in an instant when I saw that line appear, you picked me and I am so happy to be yours. I’m watching my app, waiting for the fruit or vegetable to get bigger, waiting until I can see that little bump, more proof that you’ll be in our lives soon. Because sometimes I can’t believe this is real.

“Just you wait and see”. You’ll hear those words a bit mama, in fact you probably already have. There’s so much you’ll be told and a lot of it is true, but there’s so much they don’t say too.

Tears fall more freely since we met. But in some ways, free is also what I feel.
Which seems strange to say when I once used the word ‘trapped’, to describe a bad day. Or the fact that I can’t leave the house with only a few items anymore.
Or do anything actually without a detailed plan of ‘how’ and ‘when’.
But you freed me in the ways that matter.

From the moment I saw you everything made sense and nothing did. I had no idea how terrifying love could be. How could I never imagine life before someone I just met?

People ask, what’s my favourite stage and I think of you. As you were placed into my arms. So small and new with those perfect wrinkles that would have me forgive mine. Those little cries I didn’t yet recognise, that sometimes were my own.
